Healthy Spine Checklist

Your Health is a choice. You control your lifestyle and it is under your modification if you want to. By making a choice to understand your own health you can make better lifestyle choices that will lead you to better musculoskeletal health.

STEP 1
GO THROUGH THIS CHECKLIST TO ASSESS YOUR HEALTHY SPINE STATUS

Do you have difficulty turning your neck, so your chin makes it to your shoulder?
You can’t your touch your toes
Do you slump your head and shoulders forward?
Squeeze together your shoulder blades—do they feel tight?
Stand against the wall-does your head easily touch the wall?

Take off your shoes—look and see if your shoes are wearing uneven .
Stand up straight
Do your feet roll in or your knees roll in?
Is one knee more bent than the other?
Does your body or joints feel stiff first thing in the morning?
When you walk do you feel sore or stiff?
You cannot do a deep knee squat without falling over
Do you have difficulty putting your shoes and/or shoes on whilst standing?

STEP 2
If you answered “YES” to any of these checklist questions, it may be time to have a professional assessment of your posture

STEP 3
Some simple things you can do each day to a healthier spine and lifestyle choices;
Walk each day for at least 30 minutes of brisk walking
